How do I obtain a tanker (N) endorsement to transport 1, 000 or more gallons of liquid?

Not a Manatee County resident?  Effective 7/24/17, Out-of-County residents can only be served at our Driver License Office, located at 904 301 Blvd W, Bradenton.  An appointment is required.  Visit to schedule an appointment.  Out-of-County residents must select the “Non-Manatee County Resident DL/ID Card Transaction” Service in order to be served.  Testing services (e.g. road testing, written exams) are provided for Manatee County residents only.

The following are required before visiting our Driver License Office (DLO) to take your Written Exams for a Tanker (N) Endorsement:

  1. Schedule an appointment online.
  2. Complete a Driver License Application, and bring the completed application to your appointment.

Note: Exams must be started before 4:00 PM at the latest and be completed by 4:50 PM.
