Certain non-profit organizations qualify for a reduced-fee registration and license plate, often referred to as an "X-Series" plate.  As proof of eligibility, organizations not present in Florida Statute 320.10(c) must submit a complete copy of their not-for-profit organizational charter on file with the Florida Department of State. This information may also be obtained and printed from the internet (http://dos.myflorida.com/sunbiz/search/) and submitted with an affidavit stating the applicable use of the vehicle.

Sales tax may also be exempt for certain organizations; at a minimum, a copy of the organization's sales tax exemption certificate must be presented with the paperwork described above.
