address changes
Did you know that Florida law requires you to keep your driver license and/or identification card address current within 10 days after moving? It's easy; update it online and save the $5.25 convenience fee!
Or, you can mail your Change of Address request form to the Division of Driver Licenses.
If you need to visit an office to change the address on your Florida driver license, commercial license (without Hazmat endorsement) and/or identification card, you must:
- Submit proof of Social Security #. Proof can be an original Social Security card, tax return, W-2 form, pay check, DD-214, school record, military identification, official letter from the Social Security Administration, or Medicare card (with an A at the end).
- Have your current (or expired less than 2 years) driver license or identification card in your possession. If lost/stolen, your digital image must be on file.
If your license or identification card is expired 2 years or more or you have a Hazmat endorsement, you must visit the State Driver License Office to complete your change of address.
Please Note: If completed in person, a new photo will be taken at the time of issuance.
