Reinstatements/Suspensions
The Specialized Driver License Department at our DeSoto office will reinstate a Florida driver license for outstanding D6 Suspension(s) on your driver license. Some common reasons for a D6 Suspension include:
- Failing to pay a traffic fine
- Failing to appear for a traffic summons
- Failing to complete court-ordered school
- School election when not eligible, or
- School election and failing to attend
AND
- The ticket(s) have been paid through the appropriate county Clerk of Court and there is an official receipt or proof of payment.
- The applicants have their current Florida identification card in their possession.
- If their Florida driver license, commercial license (without Hazmat endorsement) or identification card is lost, the person's digital image must be on file.
The fee for reinstating your driver license varies based on the date your ticket(s) were paid.
