Road Skills Testing Presentation at Manatee School for the Performing Arts

Manatee County Tax Collector Field Deputies Dominic Fragomeni and Sharon Rowan presented “Road Skills Testing” to 400 9th and 10th grade students at the Manatee School for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, February 14th. During the presentation the Field Deputies talked to students about making appointments, what materials/documents they need to bring with them to the office and tips on how to successfully take a road test.

“We packed a lot of information into 30 minutes and had more questions than we had time to answer” said Rowan “but we had a great response and look forward to reaching out to them again, in the future.”

“We even had a student come up and say ‘remember me…you gave me my driving test’,” said Fragomeni.

The Field Services and Collections Department administer road skills testing to all Florida driver license first time applicants and those who require testing. Appointments may be scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some Wednesday appointments available through April (Road Test are given at the DeSoto Office only). To schedule a road test appointment, please phone 941.741.4800.

If your school or organization would like a presentation, please call Michele Schulz, Director, Field Services & Collections; 941.741.4830.
