Before visiting our offices, we strongly encourage you to check the status of your license to ensure you have all the documents required to complete your transaction. We will not provide this information over the phone.
The Manatee County Tax Collector's branch offices are not full-service driver license providers. They serve only as an agent of the Division of Driver Licenses and perform very limited functions.

This department serves walk-in customers; however, appointments are recommended and given preference. (Note: Class E Road Tests and all written tests are administered by appointment only.) To schedule an appointment call the number listed above.
*Customers with driver license transactions must be seated with an associate by 4:30 p.m. due to the length of time required for processing.
This department does not administer:
- Commercial driver license (CDL) Road Tests
- Hazmat endorsement applications
- Motorcycle safety courses
- Medical reviews
