Duplicate Titles

Did you lose your title, pay off a lien, or simply need to apply for a replacement? You may be eligible to request a copy of your title online, through the mail, or in one of our offices. A current odometer reading and date read is required, in addition to a lien satisfaction, if applicable.

Electronic Titles

Electronic titles, or "E-Titles" are titles that exist only in the Division of Motor Vehicles' computer system. They are commonly referred to as a "paperless" title. If your vehicle had a lien on it and the lienholder was recorded electronically, you may be able to print it online at the State's website. For more information, and to see if you are eligible, please visit their Electronically Maintained Titles page.

By Mail

This service is offered as a courtesy to Manatee county residents, and proof must be submitted. Please access the Duplicate Title Packet for instructions and information.

In Person

Schedule an appointment by calling (941) 741-4800.

All registered owners must be present with state-issued identification (includes US Territories and Canada), or a valid passport. If one or more owners are unable to be present in our office, a properly completed Power of Attorney form would be required along with a copy of their ID.

Fees

The duplicate fees by mail or in person are typically between $70 and $90.

Processing Time

Duplicate titles are mailed from the Division of Motor Vehicles in Tallahassee within 7-10 business days from the date processed.

If you need your duplicate title sooner, apply in person and pay an additional $10 for our fast title service, and walk out with your title that same day.
