Due to the Federal Driver Privacy Protection Law of 1997, which revised Section 119 of the Florida Statutes, all personal information contained in an individual’s vehicle/boat or driver license records is “blocked” unless the individual notifies the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) to “un-block” it. Blocked personal information includes: owner name, address, phone number, driver license or ID card number and social security number.
Inquiries cannot be made in person in our offices, by phone, by mail or by fax.
Based on certain exemptions set forth in the Federal Driver Privacy Protection Act, qualified businesses can obtain blocked personal information through an online service provided by ADD123.
You can obtain more information about the Federal Driver Privacy Protection Act, to determine if your business is eligible to obtain blocked personal information through ADD123, by accessing the DHSMV’s website.
Effective February 1, 2009, the Manatee County Tax Collector's Office will no longer accept Original Applications for the TagTalkSM Code Line System. Existing TagTalkSM subscribers will continue to have access until further notice; however, once a previous TagTalkSM subscriber’s access has been terminated for failure to renew by May 1, 2009, their account cannot be reactivated. An alternative to TagTalkSM for qualified businesses is the online service provided by ADD123.
