The Manatee County Tax Collector’s Office offers a full range of driver license services; however, three of our offices only process limited services. Limited services for US and Naturalized Citizens include the following: replacement of a lost Florida license, address and/or name change, renewal, and out-of-state transfer to Florida.
All other transactions, including testing, commercial (CDL) licenses, and suspensions/revocations, must be processed at the Driver License Office located at 904 301 Blvd. W., Bradenton, 34205. There is a minimum fee of $6.25 due for all visits, including inquiry-only visits.
All transactions at the Driver License Office require an appointment. Late arrivals and scheduling of the incorrect appointment could result in your appointment not being honored.
Visit taxcollector.com to schedule an appointment, review transaction requirements and complete the Online Driver License & IDCard Application (or scan the QR code to the right to access the application). Do not print the application; an associate will access your electronic submission during your appointment. Applications are valid for 90 days.
Real ID Requirements
Many customers being issued a driver license or ID card may need to submit Real ID documents. For a complete list of acceptable identity documents, visit flhsmv.gov/whattobring.
All Non-US Citizens and Naturalized Citizens are required to provide USCIS (INS) documentation or Naturalization Certification. Be prepared and bring all documents with you to your appointment. Visit egov.uscis.gov/cris for USCIS (INS) application status information.
