Temporary Protected Status (TPS)

DRIVER LICENSE OFFICE – 904 301 BLVD W, BRADENTON

Customers will be charged a $6.25 Tax Collector service fee for information and processing, and additional transaction fees may apply. Visit taxcollector.com to schedule your appointment. Services are for Manatee County residents and businesses only. 

Are you in the United States under Temporary Protected Status (TPS)?

To be issued a driver license or ID card under TPS, you must present all documents in one of the following categories. Additional documents are required if you have never been issued a Florida driver license or ID card, or are making changes. Refer to the Non-US Citizen (Non-Immigrant) publication (taxcollector.com/cip/cip-view.cfm?cip=51) for additional requirements.

Note: All documents presented must be original.
 CATEGORY A

1. Expired Employment Authorization (EAD) Card with code A12 or C19
2. Valid passport (required if you have not been issued a Florida driver license or ID card within the last 18 months)

 CATEGORY B

1. Expired I-797 for I-821 Approval Notice (expiration date is subject to verification)
2. Valid passport (required if you have not been issued a Florida driver licen
se or ID card within the last 18 months)

 CATEGORY C

1. Valid Employment Authorization (EAD) Card with code A12 or C19 

 CATEGORY D

1. Valid I-797 for I-821 Approval Notice
2. Valid passport (required if you have not been issued a Florida driver license or ID card within the last 18 months)

 CATEGORY E

1. Pending I-797 for I-821
2. Valid passport (required if you have not been issued a Florida driver license or ID card within the last 18 months)

Length of issuance will vary based on country and category, but will never exceed 18 months. All documents are subject to verification.
