School Drop-Out (Non-Compliance)

DRIVER LICENSE OFFICE – 904 301 BLVD W, BRADENTON

Customers will be charged a $6.25 Tax Collector service fee for information and processing, and additional transaction fees may apply. Visit taxcollector.com to schedule your appointment. Services are for Manatee County residents and businesses only.

The public school district has notified the Division of Driver Licenses that you failed to comply with school attendance requirements; therefore, your driving privilege has been suspended.  If you are currently unlicensed, we will withhold eligibility and deny issuance of a Learner License until your suspension is cleared and your driving privilege has been reinstated.
 
To reinstate your license, the following must be completed based on circumstance.  (Note: Florida law does not allow for early reinstatement or a hardship license for this type of suspension.)
 
1. YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY LICENSED OR YOU ARE LICENSED BUT THE SUSPENSION IS NOT IN EFFECT YET

If you are under 18 years of age, you must submit one of the following.  (If you are 18 years of age or older, no documentation would be required.  However, you would still be required to visit our office and pay the applicable fee to reinstate your driving privilege.)  The document submitted will be scanned and subject to verification
 2. YOU ARE LICENSED AND SUSPENDED

If you are under 18 years of age, you must submit one of the following.  (If you are 18 years of age or older, no documentation would be required.  However, you would still be required to visit our office and pay the applicable fee to reinstate your driving privilege.)  The document submitted will be scanned and subject to verification.
3. YOU ARE SUSPENDED IN ERROR

You must submit a letter on school letterhead from an accredited school that states that the suspension was requested in error.  The letter will be scanned and subject to verification.
 
4. ACCEPTABLE METHODS OF PAYMENT AND ESTIMATED FEES

We accept cash, check, debit cards, and credit cards. A $2.50 processing fee for debit cards and a 2.5% processing fee (minimum of $2.50) for credit cards will apply. Our office does not retain any portion of this fee.

 An Online Application is REQUIRED for all transactions! To complete your driver license or ID card transaction at one of our offices, you must complete the Online Driver License & ID Card Application (https://taxcollector.jotform.com/210103795736152) – or scan the QR code to access the application – prior to your appointment. Do not print the application; an associate will access your electronic submission during your appointment. Applications are valid for 90 days.
