Processing Options
If you no longer have your vehicle, canceled your Florida insurance, or switched to insurance in another state, it's recommended that you cancel or surrender your license plate as soon as possible. This can be done online, by mail, or in person at a local tax collector’s office.
If you have sold a vehicle, you should also report the sale by completing a Notice of Sale or marking the title as sold online (by removing it from your profile).
Failing to cancel or surrender your Florida license plate may result in your Florida driver license being suspended.
