Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We've got answers.

What is TOUREX?

TOUREX is the Manatee County Tax Collector's new online system for managing your Tourist Development Tax account. It provides property owners and property managers with a convenient way to manage their account, file Tourist Development Tax returns, make payments, view properties and account information, and access important documents - all in one place.

TOUREX is replacing our current Tourist Development Tax system and is designed to provide a more streamlined and user-friendly online experience.

Will I use my current username to log in to TOUREX?

No. Your existing Tourist Development Tax username will not be used to log in to TOUREX.

When you register for TOUREX, you will use your email address to set up and access your account. Going forward, your registered email address will be used to log in to the new system.

How do I register for TOUREX if I already have a Tourist Development Tax account?

Existing Tourist Development Tax account holders will receive an email on December 1, 2026, with a re-registration link to complete their registration and set up online access to TOUREX.

The email will include instructions to guide you through the registration process. Your existing Tourist Development Tax account information and account number will transfer to the new system - you are simply registering for online access to TOUREX.

What if I don't receive an activation or registration email?

Registration emails for TOUREX will be sent on Tuesday, December 1. If you do not receive your TOUREX registration email, first check your spam or junk folder and confirm that you are checking the email address associated with your Tourist Development Tax account.

If you still cannot locate the email, please contact our office for assistance. Our team can verify the email address on file and help you with the registration process.

When do I start filing my Tourist Development Tax returns in TOUREX?

Beginning December 1, 2026, all Tourist Development Tax returns must be filed through TOUREX.

For monthly filers, your November 2026 return, due in December, will be the first monthly return filed in TOUREX.

For quarterly filers, your Q4 (October - December 2026) return, due in January 2027, will be filed in TOUREX.

Any returns filed on or after December 1, 2026, including prior or delinquent reporting periods, will need to be filed through the new TOUREX system.

Do I need to create a new account?

No. If you already have a Manatee County Tourist Development Tax account, your existing account information will be transferred to TOUREX. You do not need to create a new Tourist Development Tax account.

However, existing account holders will be required to register for online access to the new TOUREX system. We will provide additional information as we get closer to launch.

Will my Tourist Development Tax account number change?

No. If you have an existing Manatee County Tourist Development Tax account, your current account number will remain the same.

Will my previous returns and payment history transfer to the new system?

Yes. Your existing Tourist Development Tax account information, including your previously filed returns and payment history, will transfer to TOUREX.

Once TOUREX is available, you will be able to access your account and view your available filing and payment history in the new system.

Will the current Tourist Development Tax website still be available after December 1?

No. The current Tourist Development Tax system will no longer be available beginning December 1, 2026.

The existing system will remain available through November 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. After that time, customers will need to use TOUREX to access and manage their Tourist Development Tax account online.

What payment methods are accepted in the new system?

TOUREX will offer more ways to pay than our previous Tourist Development Tax system, giving you greater flexibility when making payments online.

In addition to eCheck, TOUREX will support additional electronic payment options, including debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Applicable service or convenience fees will apply based on the payment method selected.
