Rob Jerger is the Manatee County Tax Collector's Employee of the Quarter
Bradenton - The Manatee County Tax Collector’s Office is proud to announce Rob Jerger as the Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2026, recognizing his leadership, initiative, and significant contributions to the Field Services & Collections Department.
Rob joined the organization in December 2023 as a Driver License Examiner and quickly demonstrated a strong commitment to learning, improving, and contributing beyond the scope of his role. His capability and dedication led to his promotion to Field Deputy, where he has continued to make a meaningful impact on the department’s operations and long-term development.
As a member of the Field Services & Collections Department, Rob has played an important role in several key initiatives. Drawing on 25 years of United States Coast Guard experience, he assumed responsibility for the department’s emergency preparedness efforts and has helped strengthen collection processes by encouraging a more organized, intentional, and formalized approach.
Rob’s most significant contribution has been his leadership in helping create a promotional pathway for Driver License Examiners. As the first Driver License Examiner hired from outside the organization, Rob embraced the vision of building a growth and development framework for future team members, embracing one of the department’s strategic priorities for the year.
Through his leadership and persistence, a comprehensive promotional process was successfully launched in May 2026. Rob’s momentum and commitment helped move the initiative forward and create opportunities that will benefit employees and the organization for years to come.
“Rob’s ability to turn vision into reality has made a lasting impact on our department,” said Field Services & Collections Director Michele Schulz. “He is a self-starter, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and willing to challenge the status quo in ways that make our team stronger. We are grateful for his leadership and the example he sets.”
“Rob exemplifies our vision of innovating better ways to serve,” said Tax Collector Ken Burton Jr. “His work has strengthened our internal processes, supported the growth of our employees, and helped ensure our office is better prepared to serve the residents of Manatee County.”
Please join us in congratulating Rob on this well-deserved recognition and thanking him for the dedication, leadership, and positive impact he brings to the organization.
